This locally based charity are looking for an advantaged-thinking person to work on delivering and brokering services to meet the aspirations of homeless and vulnerably housed people.

The charity that has been working with homeless people for 25 years has partnered with the Mayday Trust, a national charity supporting people during difficult life transitions, to pilot a personalised, asset-based service for homeless and vulnerably housed people in Deptford.

The Personal Transition Service pilot will run for three years and it aims to deliver a new type of service, one that’s based more on people’s assets, abilities and resources and which builds on their talents – an approach called ‘advantaged thinking’. The goal is to enable people to thrive rather than simply survive, by providing the right intervention at the right time.

The purpose of the role is to deliver Mayday’s Personal Transition Service to achieve positive outcomes for homeless people as part of our team.

Ideal candidates will have a positive and influential attitude and be passionate about empowering people to reach their potential.

The job of the Asset Coach is to assist homeless people to move through challenging transitions so they can take control of their lives and contribute to their community.

The key focus is to coach 50 people per year concentrating on their strengths, assets and aspirations so that they move away from homelessness and towards meaningful independent living.

Application deadline: Closing date for applications is 12pm on 8 February 2018.

A first-stage Assessment Day (a day long event) will be held on 19 February 2018.

Interviews for successful participants will be held on 26 February 2018.

Short-listed candidates must be able to attend both days.
