London and surrounding counties | 35 hours week | some flexibility on hours and remote working | £25-£32k depending on experience

A wonderful opportunity to join a company who are a leading specialist Apprenticeship and Training Provider for the Financial Services sector in London and the UK. They are currently looking to recruit top quality financial services (especially within the insurance industry) Coaches. They are based in Central London and Bexleyheath.

This employer will be flexible around hours, depending on the suitability of the candidate. As this is a coach role you will be predominantly on the road visiting their learners at the employer’s workplaces. There will be some working from home and the office whichever is more convenient for administration tasks.

It is a pre-requisite that you have a full, clean UK driving license, if you do not have your own car there is a car allowance which can be offered as part of the package.

Main purpose of the job:
  • Responsibility for the development of a cohort of apprentices against quality and various KPIs
  • Provide support and guidance throughout the apprentice’s learner journey to ensure progression against key milestones including qualifications and competencies as defined by the standard
  • Build a relationship with the apprentice’s line manager (and other employer staff as required) to facilitate the apprentice’s development and time commitments and to review development and align with employer performance measures
  • Demonstrate and be an advocate of this organisations apprentice coaching ‘best practice’
Key activities of the job holder:
  • Complete induction presentations and apprentice sign up administration
  • Run monthly meetings with Apprentices in the work place and remotely
  • Respond to the apprentice’s remote queries and/or support requirements as required
  • Measure and assess progress of the apprentice against the objectives and milestones of the agreed learner journey
  • Complete all required documentation to evidence work completed in line with FWD quality requirements, including tracking time spent off the job learning requirements
  • Interpret learning outcomes personally to the apprentice’s role and environment
  • Advise the apprentice how work based experience can relate to development against learning outcomes
  • Set activities to develop the apprentice’s competence against the defined learning outcomes
  • Advise the apprentice on relevant evidence to support the creation of a portfolio of work in line the end point assessment requirements
  • Support the apprentice in working towards their professional qualification
  • Escalate where concerns over apprentice progress or employer support, where cannot personally resolve
  • Decide in discussion with the Delivery Director and apprentice’s line manager, when the apprentice is ready for end point assessment
  • Support and coach the apprentice in preparation for end point assessment
  • Attend coach’s development / standardisation meetings as required
Essential:
  • Two years occupational experience in the Insurance sector
  • Significant experience in apprenticeship delivery
  • Learner focused with a proven track record in supporting their achievement, retention and motivation
  • A1 qualification
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English at a minimum of Level 2
  • Good working knowledge of Apprenticeships and professional qualifications
  • Comfortable with using IT and e-portfolios
  • Full, clean UK driving license
  • Commitment to own continuous professional development
