Dartford | 25.5 Hours Per Week | Flexible hours to be determined within Monday – Friday - 8am to 5pm | £25k Pro Rata

This is a lovely role for anyone wanting to go back to work and still be able to do the school run or for someone wanting a little bit of flexibility in their working week.

The purpose of this role is to carry out the credit control function for this Dartford based Group, you will also assist the Reporting Accountant in providing financial information and support to the business.

Key Responsibilities:
Credit Control/Sales Ledger
  • Collection of customer debts within terms.
  • Recording of collections into accounting systems.
  • Reporting of credit control performance to management.
  • Estimation of cash receipts and recording of projected payment dates by customers’ accounts payable departments.
  • Resolution of queries from customers’ accounts payable department and factoring company.
  • Control of remittance advice notes from customers.
  • Reconciliations of customer accounts.
  • Control of establishment and recording of new customers in accordance with group procedures.
  • Liaise with other departments to resolve queries arising from any of the above processes.
  • Carry out any other duties reasonably requested by the management of the finance department or the group.
I.T. Skills:
  • Must be able to work with and use Microsoft Excel, Word, CAFM system, Outlook, Sage Accounts, Sage Payroll and client 3rd party systems.
  • Excellent IT skills (MS Office, accounting software).
  • High standard of numeracy and literacy.
  • Previously worked in a Finance Department.
  • Flexible, methodical and accurate approach to tasks.
  • Must be able to communicate with others at all levels.
  • Methodical with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy standards.
  • Flexible and proactive approach to task requirements.
  • Efficiently follows assignments through to successful completion with proper attention to detail.
  • Takes prompt action to begin and accomplish objectives;
  • Takes action to achieve goals beyond what is required.
