Jane Knight nominated for Forward Ladies Award

Jane Knight nominated for Forward Ladies Award

Successful Mums is delighted to announce that our very own Jane Knight is a regional finalist in the 2018 Forward Ladies Awards. The Awards celebrate the contributions and achievements of women in business in the UK.

Jane has been shortlisted in the Diversity Champion of the Year category for London and The South, in recognition of her work to support and empower women in the workplace and in business.

Jane founded Successful Mums in 2014 after struggling to find rewarding, flexible work that would fit around her young children. Realising that thousands of women were in the same position, she drew on her experience as a teacher, coach, career advisor and parent to create an organisation that offers training and support to mums returning to work or setting up their own businesses. To date, Successful Mums has helped more than 3,500 women start new chapters in their lives.

Forward Ladies is one of the leading organisations promoting and recognising women in business in the UK. It’s a real honour to be shortlisted alongside such an inspiring group of women and, whatever the outcome, I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to showcase Successful Mums at this fantastic event - Jane Knight
Forward Ladies connects women to opportunities, networks, businesses and expertise that empowers them. Announcing the shortlist, managing director Griselda Togobo praised the quality and diversity of the nominees and described the Awards as a celebration of “exceptional women and the contribution they make to the UK economy”.

Jane will be attending the regional final in London on Friday 28 September. All regional winners will then be invited to appear before a live panel of judges in November, followed by the National Grand Final in Leeds in December. We’ll be sure to keep you posted.

By the way, the brilliant illustration above is by celebrated cartoonist Neil Kerber, who is best known for his Private Eye comic strips. We love his take on Jane’s news – though not sure Harry and Meghan would agree!
