Successful Mums Career Academy is excited to announce that they have won community funding from the London Mayor to run workshops for employees with children under the age of 12, who are earning less than £11.05 per hour.

Offering FREE online or face-to-face workshops that include either:

  • Stress Management
  • Positive Well-being and Menopause
  • Autism Awareness

What is involved

The training consists of two, half-day workshops, run one week apart either at your premises, a local venue or online.

Run by one of our experienced trainers, the workshops will be engaging and interactive. Assignments will be set via our online learning platform to evidence learning has taken place.

On completion of the workshops, they will gain an accredited certificate. In addition, we also offer monthly, tailored 121 support, specifically for any parents of young children to help them with childcare advice and coaching to achieve their career aspirations.

To be eligible for the workshops the employee will need to:

  • live in the Borough of Croydon, Sutton, Merton, Kingston, or Richmond
  • be a parent or carer with a child under the age of 12
  • have lived in the UK for a minimum of 3 years
  • be over the age of 19 years
  • be employed and earning under the London living wage (£11.05)

We welcome dads and carers who meet the eligibility too.

Stress Management

Use our free stress management workshops to build a resilient workforce, increasing staff retention, satisfaction, productivity and working morale after the pandemic.

The workshop will cover:

  • How to develop a positive mindset when dealing with stress
  • The signs and symptoms of stress in themselves and colleagues
  • The causes of stress and how to counteract it
  • The long-term implications of stress
  • Proactive ways to approach stress
  • Creating an action plan to reduce own stress and increase emotional resilience.

Well-being and Menopause

These fully funded workshops provide knowledge, strategies and techniques to support your female workforce to maintain their own positive wellbeing.

The workshop will cover:

  • How to maintain their own positive wellbeing
  • The signs of deteriorating mental health in self and others
  • Strategies to manage ill mental health
  • Supporting others own wellbeing
  • Building emotional resilience
  • Looking after yourself when caring for another person with ill mental health
  • Knowledge of menopause including side effects
  • How to support others experiencing menopausal and peri-menopausal side effects
  • Managing menopause in the workplace
  • Sources of support and signposting for yourself, colleagues, friends and family.

Autism Awareness

This workshop will provide your employees with a foundation understanding of Autism to develop knowledge to be used in the workplace with both colleagues and customers. An accredited qualification acknowledged by Ofsted.

The workshop will cover:

  • Understanding the main signs and characteristics of Autism
  • The terminology associated with Autism
  • Leading an individual to a professional diagnosis
  • Identifying Autism if presented alongside another condition.
