At Successful Mums, we have an amazing team including our expert trainers, who are friendly and knowledgeable, with years of experience.

We are constantly seeking new relatable training for our audience and our latest Autism Awareness course has been designed to help attendees gain a deeper understanding and awareness of Autism.

Ideal for friends and family of those living with this development disorder, this course can also support people in customer-facing roles, working with children, or as an introduction to Special Educational Needs (SEN).

Our trainer Shenay has first-hand experience of Autism, as a parent of a child diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), making her the perfect lead for this course.

Meet Shenay Manzi

“I am a mum to two children aged 7 and 4 – my eldest child has an ASD diagnosis, alongside diagnoses of epilepsy and a learning disability.  He was formally diagnosed with ASD at the age of 3 after we noticed delays in his communication and some traits that seemed to mark him out as different to some of his peers.

Since his diagnosis, we as a family have tried to learn as much as possible about autism and ways that we can support him – this has sometimes been a lonely and isolating journey, but gaining knowledge and building support networks around us has made a huge difference.

It has also been an eye-opener to some of the challenges faced by neurodiverse and disabled people on a day-to-day basis.  Parenting my son will be a lifelong learning curve, and I feel passionate about supporting others to understand more about autism so that we can all be part of a kinder and more inclusive society for his future!”

“Successful mums, Thank you for an excellent course and thank you Shenay for the very well-structured, fun and informative sessions!”

“I have enjoyed taking part in this course. My trainer has been very helpful and friendly. I have built more confidence in myself, and I have a better understanding of autism. I have learnt a lot on this course and would encourage anyone to take it.”

“I feel I have made progress so far and gained so much from this course. I know if I need any help my trainer is there for me and I have great support when attending the weekly webinars.  The course has not only given me a better understanding of autism to help in my own personal life but helped with my confidence when talking to new people and asking for help when needed.”
