Why Hire a Mum?
In a nutshell, mums make fantastic employees. Their experience as a parent equips them with a wide range of directly transferable skills, including time management, prioritisation, negotiation, conflict management and creative thinking. Beyond that, mums who have graduated our courses have up to date digital and project management skills and are highly motivated. Every business should have a Successful Mum.
WHO DO WE WORK WITH?
We have helped place mums with hundreds of employers, ranging from corporates such as Marks & Spencer, St. James’s Place, Media Com, IKEA and Sainsbury’s to SMEs, local businesses and schools.

Would you like to showcase your industry or vacancies to our audience of women returners? These are jointly run with yourself and Jane Knight, founder of Successful Mums to highlight new career and job opportunities.
Marie-Emma had been on the Back to Work course and Successful Mums linked her seamlessley to local employer Baxter & Co.
“We were looking for a skilled, reliable and motivated individual to help with our marketing on a part-time basis. We had a great choice of CVs from Successful Mums that were of a really high calibre. We employed Marie-Emma who has had a really positive impact on the business, and we can see how Successful Mums’ training has boosted her confidence.”
Andrew Meredith, Partner, Baxter & Co
Make Me Local placed Successful Mum Andrea as their Head of Projects. Andrea has a strong CV having worked for some internationally renowned brands before becoming a mother. Like many mums, Andrea wanted a local role so that she could reduce travel time and spend more time with her family.
“The 3-step process is so simple, my advert went on the Job Board within 24 hours, CVs were sent straight to me, then I interviewed. I had to pinch myself that we had such a high calibre candidate sitting in front of us!”
Nathan Kelsey, Managing Director, Make Me Local
MediaCom are great ambassadors for flexible working. Representing all walks of life in their workforce, they are keen employers of parents and offer flexible working across the agency. This returners day included an advertising workshop from a genuine client for attendees to experience typical MediaCom commissions – the group provided valuable feedback to our hosts! Bring your organisation together with skilled mums in an informal and relaxed space.
“The event opened up an untapped and exciting pool of talent for us that can bring a unique and valuable skills set to our agency.”
Elaine Bremner, Chief HR and Talent Officer, MediaCom
