Mindful Mums Coordinator

Mental health charity supporting people with mental health problems and dementia in Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich.

Hours: 22.5 hours per week (preferably worked over 4 days) 

Location: Based in Orpington or Beckenham with some home working and regular travel across the Borough of Bromley 

Salary: £16,542 per year (based on a full time salary of £27,570) 

Job Summary:

We are looking for a project coordinator to further develop and deliver our Mindful Mums Befriending Service in Bromley. This role will take lead responsibility for recruiting and managing befriending volunteers and ensuring high quality support is delivered to mums referred into the service. 

You will be a warm, effective communicator with experience of supporting and managing volunteers within community-based services. You will have experience of delivering training and managing a high volume workload. 

Your exceptional organisation skills will ensure that targets are met, accurate records are kept and services are continually improved. The ability to work independently whilst maintaining clear and consistent communication within the team is vital. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic, collaborative and friendly team.  

Skills Required:

  • Experience of working within community based or voluntary services and delivering training sessions 
  • Experience of recruiting and managing volunteers  
  • Direct/indirect experience of mental health problems Excellent organisational skills 
  • Understanding of, and commitment to, developing wellbeing & emotional resilience in perinatal women 

This role would ideally suit a parent who has successfully managed their own perinatal mental health problems.
