The Successful Mums Career Academy has won funding to support Bexley mums turn their ideas into reality.
Founder Jane Knight, a Bexley Awards judge, has been tapping into her vast insight of up and coming businesses.

Having supported more than 6,000 women into work and self-employment they have a ready-made network and resources to make this happen, despite the COVID-19 pandemic. Their online and flexible courses include the 12 steps to getting started, weekly webinars, 1-2-1 business coaching and guest speakers sharing top tips including how to adapt in a pandemic.
Founder Jane Knight said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have won this funding to help more mums start a business. Despite tricky times, now is a great opportunity to respond to the current demands and create a new product of service that is needed now and, in the future.”
The London based company was created by Jane in 2014 after struggling to find work after having her children. Her aim was to provide funded (FREE) practical training for women to gain career and business advice.
Having created a number of training courses specifically designed for women returners, the enterprising mum has gone on to change the lives of thousands of women. After analysing the key challenges these women face, Jane and her team have developed accredited training courses to include confidence techniques, mind set and NLP along with the day to day practicalities of starting in business.
Jane added: “All our training courses, whether helping women find work, learning digital skills or starting a business, all include mindset tools and mental health awareness training too. These were key challenges for many women, so we are providing real solutions that can be used day to day.”
For women facing redundancy and considering setting up on their own, now could be the time to make it happen…
