Here at Successful Mums helping mums back to work is our passion. We pride ourselves in providing excellent coaching and mentoring for our learners. We love coaching mums to find their perfect job roles and then continuing to mentor them in the early stages of their new employment.

In fact, we love it so much, that we have decided to offer a brand-new course to help others enter in to coaching and mentoring roles!

With your passion for helping others you’ll learn how to make a difference in the workplace.

Our brand-new Coaching and Mentoring course will provide you with the knowledge and skills you need to take on a new role as a coach or a mentor and help others to achieve their goals.

This could be

  • in an existing job role
  • in preparation for a new career
  • or you may even want to set-up your own coaching business.

A Coaching and Mentoring organisational culture is becoming increasingly popular within the workplace, with many large companies now ensuring they have a coach or mentor within every department to support employees, build resilience and develop workplace talent.

Make your CV stand out from the rest by adding Coaching and Mentoring to your skill set and demonstrate that you are able to support others in their own professional development, to be the best that they can be in their job role.

Coaching is a very versatile skill which can be utilised across a variety of positions, such as life coaching or mentoring both in corporate organisations or as your own business to name a few.

Our Coaching and Mentoring course provides you with the knowledge and skills you need to take on a new role as a Coach or a Mentor.

Whilst completing your qualification you will:

  • Host real life coaching and mentoring sessions
  • Explore how to engage participants in their own development
  • Understand how to develop coaching relationships
  • Develop knowledge of how to encourage others to achieve their goals.

The 10 weeks of webinars and 121s ensure you have enough time to complete the assessments and observations required for this exciting new qualification.

As part of the course you will be required to coach and mentor an individual for three observations to practice and demonstrate your practical abilities. Please ensure you have an individual you are able to work with to showcase your new skills and support them to achieve their personal or career goals. If you are not able to find someone, please do not panic, we are able to support you with this and you will still be able to complete the course, just let your course advisor know during enrolment.

  • 10 weeks.

  • 1 weekly webinar: Tuesday 10am to 11am
  • 121 at a time agreed with you and your coach
  • Plus self-learning/homework, assessments and observations at a time to suit you. Fit these around your family commitments, the school run and your busy mum life.

Overall you’ll be committing around 20 hours per week for the 10 week duration of the course itself. 20 hours is roughly 3 working days per week, or 4 hours on each school day. You can decide how to fit these hours in at home, around your family commitments.

Webinars are delivered online using Zoom. This is not a classroom environment and bears no resemblance to the classroom of your past! With online respect and decorum, it’s a group of like-minded mums coming together to share knowledge, skills and take their time to learn something new.

And rest assured, our trainers are mums too. For the best and most interactive experience we recommend being able to attend the webinars at their specified time. There may be times when there are children in the background. We’re realistic about that. Some of our coaches and trainers have children at home too. In a worst case scenario, sessions can be recorded and sent to you afterwards, but the mute button works wonders so you can still be there! 121 coaching sessions are flexible at a time that suits you and your coach.

We’re currently enrolling for an October start. These courses run frequently and you will be able to start on the next one with spaces. There’s always an opportunity ready for you to take your time to shine and learn something new.

Please ensure you have either a laptop, tablet or a pc/mac with an internet connection that you can use for the duration of the course. This is so that you are able to access the webinars and complete your self directed learning, assesments and observations.

Take your first step today. Complete your online application form and we’ll be in touch to enrol you on this exciting new qualification!

“My confidence was at zero when a friend of mine told me about the Back to Work course. I signed up and soon realised I wasn’t the only mum who’d stayed at home for a long time and who was struggling to find a job. Jane Knight, our tutor, has so much experience as a careers coach and you get the feeling she can really “see” you. The course helped me get my current role. Now I feel like I’m a complete person, not just mummy, cleaner, cook… I feel like “me” again.”

“The knowledge and support are amazing – it’s changed my life because for the first time in a very, very long time, I believe in the value of ALL of my experiences and I have a real drive to get back to work.”
