WHAT’S IT LIKE TO LEARN WITH SUCCESSFUL MUMS?

It doesn’t matter how long your career break has been, if you want to switch career, or even if you have never worked. We’ll help you get truly work ready and find a job you love.
Being a mum can be tough, we know that. We’re mums ourselves, and we specialise in lifting other mums up with our courses and support.
You may have a lot of questions about what it’s like to do a course with Successful Mums, so we’ve prepared a video to help guide you.
We help you create a CV to be proud of, gain the digital skills employers are looking for and provide you with career advice to find a job you love. If you dream of being your own boss, our business training will help you turn your ideas into reality. Fear not, if you don’t know your Microsoft Word from your Teams, our qualified trainers and coaches will get you digitally savvy in no time!
LEARNING WITH US
When you study with us most of our courses are delivered online.
An online course means you will have one recurring weekly webinar on a set day and time. Webinars are usually about an hour and a half long with weekly assignments and a weekly task to work on in between. Whilst you can fit those in with whatever your own family routine is, your work will be due in on the day of your weekly webinar.
TIMING
Webinars usually start at 10am and are delivered in term time. There’s no expectation for you to study over the school holidays – not unless you want to!
CONTACTS
You’ll have a dedicated trainer who is your main point of contact and delivers your webinar each week.
You’ll also have an assessor who will mark your work and provide extra support during your course. We’re happy to support learners who may have extra support needs. There are many things we can do to and that will be discussed with you as part of your onboarding.
FACE TO FACE
For our face-to-face courses, you’ll meet once a week with your trainer for an interactive session, usually held in Bromley. These vary from two to three hours from 10am.
For all of our courses, you’ll learn with a group of other parents – your very own cohort. Mostly mums, but as we’re inclusive this can be dads, carers, and grandparents too.
LEARNING
Every week you’ll be set a task where you’ll work on an assignment in a smaller group of 2-3 people in your cohort. These groups are identified by the trainer as they will know you all best.

TECH
To study, you’ll need a laptop or computer. Your webinar will take place on Zoom and your learning and assignments will use the educational platform “Equal”. This doesn’t work on a phone or an iPad, so having a laptop or computer is best.
If you receive benefits and you’re registered with a Work Coach at a Job Centre, they’ll be able to put in a request to help with your access to a laptop. It’s best to do this as soon as possible before you start your course.
We’ve helped thousands of mums back to work or start a business – and we can help you too.
It takes one small step to start feeling empowered.
And if you want to get to know us a little better, come along to one of our free events. With a mix of online webinars and face to face events, there’s sure to be a chance for you to experience a taster of Successful Mums.
