We’re thrilled to share the inspiring journeys of some amazing mums who have completed our Working in Schools Programme. A course that equips participants with essential skills to prepare them for various roles within educational settings.

Catherine dedicated her time to nurturing young minds as a Sunday school teacher. However, she never included this experience on her CV. With help from the Successful Mums team through our Working in Schools Programme, Catherine soon recognised the value of this voluntary experience and her transferable skills.

After participating in a work experience day at Harris Primary Academy, a mum-of-two felt inspired and is volunteering 2 days a week as a teaching assistant at Parish CE Primary School in Bromley.

The 36-year-old furthered her skills and experience by completing our Level 3 Understanding Autism qualification. Armed with newfound confidence and self-belief, Catherine is now actively seeking a classroom role, with aspirations to specialise in SEN.

Catherine said: “Before registering with Successful Mums my confidence was very low and I needed an extra push to kickstart my career. The team have been so helpful and supportive and I have thoroughly enjoyed completing the Working in Schools Programme and the Understanding Autism course. The content was very interesting and the coaches were amazing at giving useful feedback. I am now on track to getting the career that I want, which also fits in with my family life.“
