What is the name of your business and what does it do?
The Clique Clinic. We help athletes stay in peak condition through sports therapy, rehabilitation and strength and conditioning.
How did Successful Mums help?
Goal-setting was a big help. I have set many goals in the past, but the long term goals that I set on the Successful Mums course have already been met and surpassed even!
Jane really encouraged positive thinking: this has stuck with me and I have worked on building upon this. I believe it was the difference between just plodding along at work to becoming successful in my field.
It was great to meet a network of other mums in the same position that have now become very good friends.
What inspired you to start your own business?
Being a mother of two boys, I need flexibility. In addition, I have been working in the industry for so long that I wanted to make changes in a male-orientated working environment. The only way that I could see this being possible was to start my own business with my own philosophy.
What challenges did you have when starting a business?
My main challenges were with myself, self-confidence being the main problem.
What does personal success mean to you?
Personal success to me is being able to balance a good home life where I can spend quality time with my family while providing the best possible environment and service to my clients and athletes.

What is the most challenging thing about working for yourself?
Oh, sick days! In my role, physical contact is necessary so if I catch a virus all work is cancelled.
What is the most rewarding thing about working for yourself?
Managing my own work hours means I can do the school runs.
Being the person responsible for taking my business forward.
